You got all the money in on the flop as a favorite with your opponent on a draw. The fact that you are wondering if you made a good decision means you are being results oriented.

Would you have posted this hand if the ace hadn't come on the river?

This is why the FAQ is stickied at the top and says "READ BEFORE POSTING!" That's capital letters AND an exclamation point. Hard to miss.

The opponent also had a flush draw on the flop. Of course, that doesn't change the essence of your point, but it makes the OP's question a little more sensible.
