Re: Ways to prevent burnout?
Learn a new game. If you play primarily NL, learn Omaha or Stud. Maybe learn NL if you play Limit. I am a NL player, but I have found mixing in a little limit and a little Omaha helps my overall game and keeps it interesting for me.

Re: Ways to prevent burnout?
How about a part time job? 2 months ago I started cutting lawns a couple days a week (mostly as a favor to my best friend). Turns out it's kinda nice getting out a couple days a week. The work is not bad, but sucks enough to really motivate me to work on my game and put in hours.
In theory "working" is -ev, it's been a great breath of fresh air for me. |

view it as a hobby, not work [/ QUOTE ] I used to be a part time player till about 6 months back....it used to be fun. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy the game. But, playing for a living and viewing it as a hobby....! How to do it?? |
