Default Documentation for casino cash-out

How common is it for casinos to ask for documentation (driver's license, etc) before they clear a cashout? Does it vary by casino or network?

Very common and very annoying. For the longest time I wouldn't give up my info but after a while you give in cuz they hold so much of your money. I think this is one thing CM and others need to lean on them to change. It's an invasion of privacy. Plus I've never seen them ask for documentation before when they accept my money.

Software is the biggest variable:

Playtech - 100% will ask (cant think of one that doesnt anyway)
RTG - 100% ask
Microgaming - Not many do. I have been asked a couple of times but usualy on lucky big wins. I can't think of anywhere that asked on a $100-$300 win

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll have to stick to poker bonuses until I can stop by the DMV and renew my license.

They will accept a passport too with a utility bill.

Some are more stringent then others. Blasters ask for a blood sample.

Some MGs have taken to locking accounts until you verify your identity

MGs are weirder now then when I played them. I keep reading on CM how they biff cashouts, request endless IDs.

My favorite was the group (anyone knows what I'm talking about? I can't find the group name or the link on CM) that would keep bouncing cashouts back without an email and when you ask what's wrong, you are told to re-request the cashout again and again and again. Turns out they want docs and the support wouldn't tell the user that. Bizarre.

It's sad but MG's have gotten worse and when they want docs you find their support system is suddenly less responsive than GoldenPalace!
