River decision w/ small set
WPEX 1/2 5-max
Villain appears TAGish and has done nothing out of line in about 40 hands. This hand was the first preflop 3-bet I had seen from him. I open raise 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in CO. Button 3-bets. Folded back to me and I call. Flop (7.5SB): 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I check and call. Turn (4.75BB): K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I check and raise. Button 3-bets, and I cap it. River (12.75BB) A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I bet. Button raises. I call. There are (6) AA/KK combos that beat me and (9) AK combos that I beat. My problem with a 3-bet, though, is that I almost always lose two bets when I am behind and only gain one when ahead. Therefore, I call. Right? |

Re: River decision w/ small set
I think raising here is a bad idea.

Re: River decision w/ small set
Well I think the flop action sucks. He's never giving you credit for a hand if you bet or C/R. The turn and river look good.
