Q: Any B&Ms around Cincy?

I play a lot of live games at college because they're easy to find and our local VFW runs a big 200 person tourny every week. Anyhow I'm graduating now and moving to Cincinnati. After looking all over the internet the only thing I can find close to Cincy is the Argosy casino which I think is a riverboat casino. Regarless, they don't have any information on whether or not they have a poker room.

I know Cincinnati isn't exactly a hotspot for cards but does anyone know of a place to play that is at least within a decent drive?

Argosy is actually opening their poker room tonight.

The Grand Victoria, another river boat about 20 minutes further out from Cincinnati also has poker. About 8 tables, usually 5/10, and 10/20.

And the Belterra, another river boat, this one south of Cincinnati halfway to Lousiville about an hour drive from Cincinnati, has poker. Probably the best option, they have about 12 tables, and typically they have a much wider variety of games running. (2/4, 3/6, 4/8, 5/10, 10/20, and a 2/5 100-500NL.)

What part of Cinci are you moving to??

Argosy poker room opens at noon today. I have Dr.s appt; at 11:30 so gonna be late. I stopped by yesterday on my way to the Vic, they had 15 tables in room, mite be a tad crowded for size of the room.

Belterra will have a 2/4 & a 3/6, maybe a 4/8 if it is real crowded. They will have several 2/5 100-500 NL games going.

If you want 5/10 or 10/20, go to the Grand Vic were they will have a couple of each going, and maybe a NL game.

This could all change depending on what Argosy starts spreading regularly when they open.

Great, thanks a lot for your help. I don't see why these gambling boats don't make this information easier to find.

Low limit NL holdem is mostly what I'm looking to play. 2/5 NL should be up my alley. I'll play limit too so that is always an option.

Also - are there benefits/players club etc. worth signing up for?

For Chee- I'm tryin to set up an apartment with a friend or two. Hopefully gonna get a place in Mason.

As far as benefits/players club, both Grand Vic and Belterra offer $1/hr up to a daily max ($10 and $7, respectively, I think) that can be used for RFB. Sign up for a card on the casino floor and present it to the poker desk to swipe in/out.

Not sure what Argosy might offer. Hopefully I'll find out soon.
