Default How often losing with under flushes

I'm still relatively new to poker but consider myself a knowledgable player. Four of the last six flushes I have made have been under-flushes. One flush was beat by a single over, but the rest were a better both suited cards hand. And worse, I pressed them very strong. Am I going too far with my middle suited connectors when I flop a flush draw? I've noticed a pattern of opponent bet 1/3 pot, I raise to 4/5 pot, then opponent calls on flop. Does this line mean "I'm holding a suited ace" every time?! Noticed this at different levels ...less in the higher the money level as preflop raises tend to scare the suited aces out.

Six max, NL

Keep playing them if they're suited...suited cards are the best.

Just kidding...don't be willing to push all in with a smaller flush. Lots of people play suited cards, so if you aren't holding the ace, there's always that chance someone is.

Its been a long time since ive gotten stacked with flush over flush. It might have something to do with the fact Im not a flush donkey like 75% online players are.

Anytime you're chasing a flush with suited connectors you probably have someone at the table playing K/2 or A/3 suited UTG chasing the same draw. I would just say be more cautious with weaker flushes but that makes me sound weak-tight, but there really isn't a valid excuse for getting stacked with flush over flush unless you're both already all-in before the flush gets there.

God damnit I sound so weak-tight...Someone shoot me NOW!
