NLSNG: Pacific 1 hand blinds
I've been giving these pacific 5 + .50 SNGs where the blinds go up EVERY HAND a whirl lately to slake my monkey poker urges.
I was just curious about others' experience with these games, including ROI if anyone has possibly explored them, and general strategy. The rake is pretty severe but the play is pretty bad, and even a low ROI can yield nice results because they don't take more than 3 minutes, and very often less. My philosophy is: go in a 55%+ favorite for all your opponent's chips if you need to, and you're in the clear. get a quick read on your opponent and don't do something stupid like push 92o for a major, completely game-changing chunk of your chips (which is going to be the case 90% of the time) when your opponent clearly looks committed to call. |

Re: NLSNG: Pacific 1 hand blinds
Do not play 5.50 HU S&Gs (ie. pacific, pokerroom, party)
Play 5.25 HU S&Gs (ie. stars, fulltilt, absolute) The extra rake is a killer. |

Yeah, that makes sense. But I don't think any place lets the monkey in me free like pacific. What's the fastest blind structure on any of the 5+.25 sites?

Re: NLSNG: Pacific 1 hand blinds
If you like fast blinds rising, Stars and FullTilt have turbos (which I think rise every 3 minutes). They are $6.25, $11.50, I think.

Holy misinformation Batman!
Stars don't offer turbo HU matches. The blinds go up every 10 minutes. |

Re: NLSNG: Pacific 1 hand blinds
I think it would be hysterical to play with blinds raising every hand. I may have to signup at Pacific just to try this.
