PS 11R
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t400 (9 handed) internettexasholdem.com UTG+1 (t19071) MP1 (t6766) Hero (t10461) MP3 (t2365) CO (t10898) Button (t3193) SB (t14525) BB (t10253) UTG (t48876) Preflop: Hero is MP2 with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 1 fold, UTG+1 calls t400, 1 fold, Hero calls t400, 2 folds, Button raises to t3168, 2 folds, UTG+1 folds, Hero calls I have no read on the villian. Against a tight player I am probably beat and maybe a 2-1 dog. But the villian might be pulling a squeeze play here and he is also shortstacked so that opens up his range quite a bit. Is getting 1.7 a good price to call? Is this a standard call given the situation or a losing one? |

Re: KJs - Priced in to call?
This is post rebuy right? If so fold... Youre not getting 2-1 for a coin flip, youre dominated by AK KQ JJ and KK, behind AA. Really hoping for a coinflip and dont have odds to call it...
Youre risking like 25% of your stack on a mediocre hand like KJ. Sure he could be pushing with air but you cant be 100% sure and dont have chips tor gamble like this... just fold and find a better spot. |

Re: KJs - Priced in to call?
How's this range look?
Just did it quickly but with the antes it looks like you need 40% equity and with this range you're almost spot on. I didn't throw in any air, but I think the range is pretty loose anyway. Text results appended to pokerstove.txt 263,694,816 games 1.203 secs 219,197,685 games/sec Board: Dead: equity (%) win (%) tie (%) Hand 1: 58.1909 % 54.96% 03.23% { 77+, A8s+, KTs+, QJs, A9o+, KJo+, QJo } Hand 2: 41.8091 % 38.58% 03.23% { KsJs } --- |
