Default PT is killing my comp

I have a IBM Thinkpad R52, never have had any problems with it.

Right now PT is shutting down my computer (or totally freezing it) whenever I try to do something on PT. This includes: bringing up my stats, compacting a database (which I did not too long ago), importing just a few files, whatever. It works for a while, I know that it goes kinda slow and appears to freeze normally, but then my laptop will actually shut off or freeze for good.

Any idea what is causing this? I know my computer should be able to handle this, it isn't even working when I ONLY have PT running. I have like 40 GB of free memory on my comp. I only have one database, and while it is big, I wouldn't consider it huge by 2p2 standards.

It killed 2 thinkpads on me! Im not sure what it is, but I upgraded the second one with more RAM and a bigger HD, and had the same result. So I dumped the thinkpads and bought a desktop, and had to have both thinkpads reconditioned, but only one now works. Id say get another computer, or stop using PT.

Edit: They were T23s

you should post this over on the pokertracker forums. Pat is real quick to provide answers over there. Ive been running it all on a laptop with postgres with no problems. Mines not a ibm though but I dont see what that would have to do with it.
