If you want to block bet, it may be best to start doing it on the turn. If he doesn't have the flush, he may have a hard time raising you. Then, on the river, if he comes over the top of you, you can put him on the boat. Also, You may be able to get him to fold a hand like ak if neither is a spade and you bet the turn.

Another option is to check/fold the turn and just be done with it. His little bet there seems awful suspect, and what can you really beat at this point? You have no idea where you are at, and even if he doesn't have you beat at this point, it is very likely he has nine outs to do it. I say, either represent the flush yourself, or get out.

Yes, I was kind of thinking the turn call was not good. I think he may have been block betting himself with a hand like AJ and hoping to get to a showdown. Either that or he flushed himself. I think my best play may have been to fold the turn. I think he boated for sure on the river and wanted paid off.

i think you played it fine every street. the flop raise/turn bet are too small to fold to i think.
