Default C/R this turn? Yes?

No good read on villain - although I've seen him semi-bluff the turn.

Cryptologic
Limit Holdem Ring game
Limit: $2/$4
5 players
Converter

Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
3 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises</font>, BB calls.

Standard I think. Villain's range here is very wide...

Flop: 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3SB, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">Hero bets</font>, <font color="#cc0000">BB raises</font>, Hero calls.

We call this raise yes? or is pot too small to bother?

Turn: Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3.5BB, 2 players)
Hero checks, <font color="#cc0000">BB bets</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises</font>.....

Do we check raise here? or just donk? Can we fold if 3 bet?

Thanks guys.

Good, don't fold if 3-bet.

No cant fold to a 3 bet, can c/r hear i think, if he checks behind then donk out any river. Dont think donking hear gets you best value, best to c/r in my book!

If you won't fold to a three bet, I'd rather bet out and just call a raise. Your going to trust that an unknown is semibluff 3-betting an OES or FD into someone who obviously has a big Queen or QQ? If he has both an OES and FD then it's practically a coinflip which negates any value to jamming the pot.

This is a blindsteal. Top pair is the nutzzzzzzz. He may not be semibluffing but have KQs, QJs, A(4-7)s. You only fear sets, and 63, 86. You are behind those random 2 pair hands, but you have lots of outs against them.

I think both you guys have good points. Would you ever consider check calling? Villain is betting here like always. With a C/R are we letting him off cheap? or correctly charging for his potential draw here?

Is this an instance where you would try a C/C turn and Bet/Call river? (if not when would it be)

I'd rather open fold just to prove I'm bad ass and don't care about money than check/call here.

I don't think I'd check/call. Do you think Villain is always betting with a draw if you check? Maybe because it's a HU blind situation. Will some players try a free card play here?

With a c/r you are charging him to draw. You would be charging him if you bet out too.
