Default Let Us Gogogogo BUSTO! (NC Thread)

I was playing against a guy last night who seemed to be on the same mental plain as our beloved Daniel No.2. He had two modes: on and off, and the board cards had absolutely no bearing on which mode he was in. For example (from memory):

I open raise OTB with AT. Mr. Binary calls in the SB, and a really loose player calls in the BB.

Flop comes Q56. I bet w/ my A high, they both call.

turn 8. I bet again, they both call.

River 9. I check, and it's checked through.

I show A high. Mr. Binary shows Q7, for top pair and a rivered straight, and loosey mucks. Huh?

Then other times he would go nutso w/ anything. Fortunately, it was easy to tell what mode he was in. If he was in "on" mode, he would check the "raise any" box preflop.

I raise AQo in the CO, Mr. Binary 3bets OTB, we're HU and I call.

Flop comes QT9. I c/r, he 3bets, I call.

I c/c a turn brick.

River is another Q, I c/r, he calls, and shows KT.

And another one like this. I open raise ATo in the CO. He insta-3bets, I call.

Flop is all rags <T, I c/c.

Turn is another brick, and I c/c.

River is still yet another low card, and I c/c. I show my AT and beat his KT.

His weakpoints were far more numerous than just hungry and sreepy. I have never met a player like this, but I'm not complaining. I took over $400 off the table.

Button is about 35/1/1 and the main reason I'm staying at this table. Totally transparent and readable -- though he limp-reraised once before with 33 (then played it straightforward after the flop and called down when he was plainly beaten). BB is a TAG and possible 2+2er. CO is a bit of a LAG who hasn't gotten too out of line yet.

My most obvious play mistake during my 200BB trek through .50/1.

PokerStars 0.50/1.00 Hold'em (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Preflop: Hero is Button with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls, 1 fold, Hero raises, SB calls, BB 3-bets, UTG calls, Hero calls, SB calls.

Flop: (12 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG bets, Hero raises, SB calls, BB 3-bets, UTG calls, Hero calls, SB calls.

Turn: (11 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets, SB calls, BB folds, UTG calls.

River: (14 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB bets, UTG calls, Hero folds.

Final Pot: 16 BB

Results:
SB has Qs Ah (high card, ace).
UTG has Ks 8s (one pair, eights).
Outcome: UTG wins 16 BB.

I was planning on folding until the middle player called and I hit fold really quickly. To be honest I don't remember my thought process at the time I clicked fold. I do know that as soon as I did I heard a voice, soothing but somewhat scolding:

DO NOT FOLD DECENT HANDS IN HUGE POTS FOR 1 BET ON THE RIVER!!!

I'm no expert by any means, but I think a call here is a proper implementation of the strategy.

FFS I was closing the action and I get donked on a River 2.

I cried.

Just played a hand in which a guy picked up JJ, flopped a set, in position, and managed never to bet it. [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3/6

Final Pot: 14.25 BB

Button had 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I know that I had outs on the turn, but I actually felt a bit sorry for my opponent after I saw what his hand was.
