Badges for non-Muslims

The Iranian parliament has just passed a new law that would require the country's Jews and Christians to wear colored badges. Ali Khamenehi "Supreme Guide" must still approve the law before it is put into effect. To those on this forum who think we can ignore Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's rhetoric, I hope this makes you think again.

Iran has to know that there will be international outcry, is this mre political manouvering to show how the "west" interferes with their soveirnty? I am sure that they will happily implement it if they could do it discreetly, but since they cant it seems more like a move aimed at those watching Iran.

EDIT: it occurs to me that this might be an overt threat to Isreal - encourage or join in an invasion and we will have all the Jews marked for extermination. A declaration of hostages.

This is a political insult to Israel and the West. They are trying to provoke something, the question is what? I think they know a war is not in their best interest.
