Default Canadian dollar at 90 cents, but product pricing not adjusting

Looking at books today

book 1 US price $26, Canada price $36.... 0.72
book 2 Us price $24, Canada price $30.... 0.80

With the Canadian dollar at 90 cents this is disturbing. Are we paying for the cost it takes to ship the book from where its made in the US? Is this just a gouge on Canadians?

Drives me crazy.

Do you expect them to just eat the money they spend translating them into Canadian?

Everything is like that man... really sucks for us canadian players that make US dollars.

was just in vegas, pair of nike shox that cost 200 canadian dollars in vancouver, sell for 100 american in the states.

motorcycles - an 04 or 05 used bike can go for 6500 -7000 usd, but here it is 9500-10000 canadian.

brand new cars are also still priced like exchange is 1.4 or 1.5

Goes all the way down to McDonalds dollar menu! In the states its the dollar menu, all items are one dollar. Here in canada its called the value menu, and all items are 1.39 canadian.

Also we pay 14.5 sales tax on everything we buy...

US dollar doesnt appear to be getting any stronger... I wish it would go back to how it was Pre-Bush.

This post does belong in BBV.
