TT OOP; played too passively on river?
No reads on villain. I checked/called the turn to keep the pot small. I wasn't scared of the river card, but didn't really know what to make of the small turn bet.
Does anyone bet around 10.00 on the river here? Does anyone think I missed out on some value? I'm inclined to believe that a bet was in order here. Thakns in advance! Re: TT OOP; played too passively on river?
If I'm going to bet, I'm going to lead the turn again, what are we affraid of here? As played, I'm going to raise him on the turn; very weak bet by CO.
Why would you even think about betting the king? For all we know he could have called with overs, and just spiked on us. That's a great way to get knocked off a potential winning hand. Your hands is great for picking off a likely river bluff. |

These seem more likely than a King, and seem more likely to take a free showdown if I give it to them. I agree that a strong turn bet is reasonable here. Though I wish to keep the pot small, logic dictates there is little to be afraid of. |

Bet the turn because there's a lot of cards you don't want to see falling on the river.

Bet the turn to get value from T9, 89. You aren't seeing a lot of raises from hands that you beat here.

You don't think A9, 88-66 call a river bet? [/ QUOTE ] Depends on your bet. Unless I have a good read on villain, and sense some weak/passiveness I'm personally not a fan of value betting this river. Maybe this is something I need to work on in my game. Had I been at the table, and had the feel, I may have value betted this. This is why responding to hand histories can only get you barely below the surface, so much of it is feel. I'm curious as to what others think. |
