critique my straddle
I never straddle, but it was my last hand, and I was up a whopping $30 over 3 hours at a live 5/10 session, and I would have been up over $50 but for the booze I consumed during same, so I figured WTF.
I straddle to $10. 3 weak-tight bitches to my immediate left cast disapproving glances towards me and fold quickly. Dour Middle Eastern man in MP calls. Next guy folds to huge linebacker-ish black guy who calls. Folded to LAG in CO who raises to $15 (sweet). Folded to BB (nondescript white guy) who calls it cold. I patiently wait for the action to hit me, then peer down at 33. I make it 4 bets. All call. Flop: A-Q-6. BB bets out; I raise; dour ME man calls; linebacker folds; LAG folds (!); BB 3-bets; we call. Turn bricks (no draw); bet-call-call. River bricks (may have put 3 to a flush out there; can't really remember); check-check-check. Does a true gambooler/straddler cap the flop in anticipation of hitting his 2-outer? Raise the turn? Stab at it on the river when BB checks like a bitch? This is all quite new to my customary tight-not-that-aggressive-nature. FWIW, BB showed A10s (LMAO at the river check) and took it down. |

Re: critique my straddle
Since straddling is generally considered a -EV play, I thought this to be the appropriate forum.
Mod(s), please take such action deemed to be necessary. |

Re: critique my straddle

Why is this in BBV? [/ QUOTE ] Because his 33 got sucked out on by ATs, to which it was a 49.8 / 50.2 dog? |
