Default Top Two with Flush draw?

I'll post my first hand. I just began playing PLO online. I previously have a ton of PLO experience live.
Button appears to be a decent player. Otherwise no real good reads.

Sorry, but I can't get converter to work.

0/0 Omaha Game Table (Real Money) -- Seat 7 is the button
Total number of players : 10
Seat 1: ( $995.50)
Seat 2: ( $4688)
Seat 3: ( $385)
Seat 4: ( $487.89)
Seat 5: ( $777.30)
Seat 6: Hero ( $574)
Seat 7: ( $974.50)
Seat 8: ( $747)
Seat 9: ( $1000)
Seat 10: ( $2450.52)
Seat 8 posts small blind (5)
Seat 9 posts big blind (10)
** Dealing down cards **
Dealt to Hero [ 4h, Jh, Td, Ad ]

Seats 10, 4, 5, and hero call. Button raises to 25.
All call except for small blind.

** Dealing Flop ** : [ Th, As, 6h ]

It's checked to me. What's my best play?

Comments appreciated.

Bruce

I would bet the pot and call a push. If button is likely to bet any 4 here I would check raise all in, if he has aces and the nut flush draw then hit runner runner QK. But a good player isn't going to bet this flop 100% from the button.

I would play this very agressively, especially considering your shortish stack.

I would check, if button pots it and someone calls I lay it down because you might be up against a set + nut flush draw, alt. that button has AxhAx.

I would be much more inclined to play it aggressive if the ace on the flop was one of the hearts or if you had a gutshot as well.

With me having an Ace how likely is it for the raiser to have flopped a set of Aces?

I also do have a flush draw which decreases the likelyhood of villian making a flush if he has a better draw than me.

If button is a decent player, then he could raise with a lot more hands than just AA. You have a very good hand but need to find out where you are at. If you bet and get raised, you can probably fold with confidence, since then you would likely only have a J hi flush draw live. Checking and calling though, or giving a free card on a drawing board, doesn't give you any meaningful information unless it is checked through and a brick hits on the turn.

Betting, getting raised, and then folding just doesn't feel right especially against an aggressive player. The fact that I have top two negates the likelyhood of a set. If I'm raised I'm more likely against a big draw. I do have two blocking cards. The best possible draw he can have is a flush draw and wrap. Let's say he specificially has AhKhQcJd. If that's the case he will win 53% of the time
If he has a flush draw with a single gut shot I win almost
60% of the time. I think my hand is stronger than it looks.

plo is all about the unlikelies, though. You can't say he "never" has a set. I'm agreeing that if you pot it and get repotted you're not folding, but I've advocated checking simply because I think it's a better line.

How did the hand play out?

P.S. How much does it suck if he has AT with a bigger FD + gutter

[/ QUOTE ]I don't play as high as the OP's hand but this just seems like terrible weak-tight advice (or maybe I'm missing the sarcasm cos I'm drunk).

If checked to I would pot every time.

nah the advice is reasonably sound, top 2 and non-nut needs to be HU, and even then it may not be in great shape.
