Spewtasm?
No reads. I'd been playing tight. Villain is multitabler.

Re: Spewtasm?
Don't see how this preflop play can be profitable unless you have a very tight image/opponents are folding too much pre flop.
I think bet on turn is more likely to get a fold than river bet. Would you check with AQ or better on turn? If not, I think you should pot turn and then shut down if called. |

Re: Spewtasm?
I would have bet half the pot on flop, and much more on turn. If he calls or raises turn then I am not going to win this bluff often enough to warrant the final shot.

Re: Spewtasm?
The turn was the time to bluff. Not the river.

Re: Spewtasm?
This line would only make sense if you have the image of a real passive nit, never using A as bluffcard on turn and too scared of a checkraise/bloating the pot when he DOES have the A on turn, and even then those guys still don't make a fullpot bet on river.
Since I assume this doesn't really fit you, bet the turn instead |

Villain looked a lot like QQ here. I don't think TT calls the flop bet. And I think AK/AJ bet out on the turn and definitely don't CC turn then check river. I got lucky this time anyway. Counted down and folded.

Re: Spewtasm?
Everyone saying to bet the turn - you would bet the turn when you actually held an ace? You wouldn't check behind to snap off a bluff/value bet? Because if you actually hold an ace, betting the turn is pretty bad - so OP's line makes sense.
Not that I'm saying you won't get looked up by KQ, but I think it's a decent bluff in most cases. |
