I bet $8, LP calls, EP folds.

Pot: $25

Turn: 5 6 9 K

I bet $15, LP calls.

Pot: $55

River: 5 6 9 K 7

I check - LP goes all in for $15. I call.

Dude had 8s3s. Called a reraise pre-flop, chased a gutshot all the way to the river facing large bets. BUT IT WAS SOOTED!!!

Unless LP was typically a calling station, I would have put him on a draw...either straight or flush. Either of those beat you, so you may consider betting more pre-flop and on the turn. It may have pushed him out of the hand.
