Default Borgata SNGs? (lc)

{Well, I got no help from the tournament forums. You guys are my last hope.}

Just wondering if any of you have played the sit-n-gos at The Borgata. What are they like? Which SNGs on PokerStars would you say they're comparable to? Any tips?

Thanks in advance.

not sure, bud.

i do know about the ones at the trop though (i would imagine they are similar)--the juice makes them not worth playing (55+15) and the blind structure was a joke, iirc.

Thanks. I didn't know the Trop had them too. I'll try B&M (not hopeful, though).

When I looked at Borgata before, the buyin fee was ridiculous relative to actual buyin itself.

I'd skip it and stick to the 1/2 games there. The players were quite weak the last time I went.

It's actually 60+15 and 120+20 now. The fee is high, but I like playing SNGs every now and then. I've played the 1/2 games there, very beatable compared to what I play online.

Sub,

The ridiculous juice and high blind structure hurts the profitablility of the game. I'm not a SNG expert, but I imagine it would be difficult to beat the juice long-term. However, the quality of play is probably poor because I often see the 1/2nl donks jumping into the SNGs.

From a fun standpoint, sure go ahead and play one. But in terms of long-term profit the 1/2nl is certainly better.

Believe me, I'm not abandoning cash games. I just wanted a change of pace for a day. From the responses, it sounds like the fee is just ridiculously high. I think I'll stick to 1/2.

Thanks everyone.
