Why keep your wallet in your back pocket?

I've never understood this. I have always kept my wallet in my front pocket, and my friends think I'm crazy.

Using your back pocket makes no sense to me, though. It's uncomfortable, especially when you try to sit down. It seems like it would be a lot easier to lose or have stolen when it's in your back pocket.

Also, I have achieved what I feel is the correct balance of weight between pockets. Here's what I have been using for about 3 years now:

Left front pocket: Cell phone, keys
Right front pocket: Wallet
Left back pocket: Empty
Right back pocket: Empty

This feels comfortable, and if things are in the wrong pocket, it will drive me nuts. They must be in these specific pockets, or it won't feel right.

Please tell me I'm not crazy, I'm having a hard time finding someone who agrees with me. They all insist on using the back pocket with no real reason to support it.

your wallet goes in your back pocket on the opposite side of what direction your dick goes, if you dont put it in your back pocket, i guess you dont have a dick

You need to buy pants which have two front pockets (one on each side) rather than just one front pocket in the middle.

Either that, or I congratulate you on having an incredibly thick penis.

I also have a penis and testicles. However, they are between my legs and not protruding from my thigh.

right back: cash
left front: phone, smokes, gum
right front: keys, eyedrops, lighter

I answered right back pocket but I switch to right front pocket when I'm in a seedy place where I think my wallet might get lifted. Like in the Bellagio.

I don't think it's that uncomfortable, but I do have real reasons too keep it in my back pocket, I need my front pockets for other stuff. My standard accoutrements for leaving the house are:

Right Front: Pen, cellphone, chapstick, bunch of 100's if needed.
Left Frount: Keys, change, bunch of 1's if needed.
Left Back: Handkerchief.
Right Back: Wallet.

I'd rather sit on a wallet than keys, pen, or phone.
