Default Bad?

Villain is augie00, who I am assuming is the same augie that posts on 2+2. We have no history together, and I only have 30 hands on him at 30/20.

Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
Hero raises, 4 folds, BB calls.

Flop: (4.50 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls.

Turn: (3.25 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB raises, Hero folds.

Final Pot: 6.25 BB

I fold this hand approximately never in a shorthanded game. He easily can be raising an ace and a spade or something you beat. Laying down hands in this spot is just asking to be run over.

I cant make this fold against someone I only have 30ish hands on. You basically have no read here besides the fact that you think it MIGHT be the same augie from 2+2.

Plus if the guy had a turned flush, that means he check-called the flop with a flush draw, and most people dont do that HU online. They usually checkraise the flop especially on a rag board that you likely missed.

Dont get me wrong, I still think youre an underdog when checkraised on the turn, so I wouldnt 3bet, but you have an easy profitable call down here cuz you will win often often.

The guy could just have Ax, or a turned FD that hes semibluffing with or a straight draw + turned FD/pair + FD that hes making a move on, and if the guy has two pair you are likely to have quite a few outs to beat him on the river.

I think your turn fold is really bad in this situation, to the point where I will call it reverse FPS.

If it's the same augie I think it's a fine toss. Most of the mid-low 2+2 posters only semi-bluff at the easiest, most obvious spots.

An ace that also completes a flush draw isn't the most obvious spot for a move?
