Default 5/10 Bluffing at 4-straight board

UTG is lousy and his stats are 37/1. He's really passive and will fold hands if he thinks he's beat. He took his entire time bank to call my turn CR (set/two pair looking to fill up?).

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $10BB (4 handed)

UTG ($2771.79)
Button ($847)
SB ($897)
Hero ($3193.66)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $5.
UTG calls $10, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, Hero checks.

Flop: ($25) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $21</font>, UTG calls $21.

Turn: ($67) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">UTG bets $50</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $175</font>, UTG calls $125.

River: ($417) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $310</font>

very yucky

if it takes him so long to decide, he's probably pretty stubborn. so, if he called the turn he will probably call the river, thus.. bad.

Not sure if I like turn play, but on river I think this bet for sure has a positive expectation. Real tough to call here without a flush or straight, and he doesn't have either of those or a made hand he can't let go much more than 1/2 the time.

I think if you make your turn c/r up to a scarier number (like pot sized, or 225) then it will be a lot more effective.
