How much looser to play 5 handed?
In my continuing bonus clearing quest I am now playing at Holdem Poker (a Poker Room skin). They have 5 hand instead of 6 hand tables.
I'm enjoying the experience and seem to be doing well (4.74BB/100 after a statistically insignifigant 1K hands), but am wondering how much looser people play pre-flop when playing 5 handed? Can anyone provide some concrete examples of where they loosen up (if at all)? Would something like QTo UTG be considered a flop in 6 hand and a raise in 5 hand? All thoughts very much appreciated! Onnel P.S. also, a recommendation for VP$IP? I seem to be headed for ~30%. Too high? |

Re: How much looser to play 5 handed?
i wouldnt play at any pr skin where you arent getting super rakeback+bonuses. rake is around 4+BB/100. a bonus probably just brings it back to around party/pokerstars level.

UTG at 5max is like UTG+1 at 6 max.

Wow, I hadn't realized the rake is so high! Well I'll clear my bonus and then move on to greener pastures.
Thanks for the reply Nina, that is roughly what I was planning on as well. Best, Onnel |
