Default \"Don\'t Spy on Me\"

Here is a link to Russ Feingold's (junior senator from Wisconsin) PAC website .

I have the link set right to the page where you can get a sweet "Don't spy on Me" t-shirt, in exchange for contributing to a good cause.

Shouldn't it be the government's responsibility to make sure everyone is safe? Why does the government's role end at the economic part.

It does have the responsibility of making sure that everyone's safe. The problem is that "everyone" doesn't just mean you, and it also means safe from an intrusive government.

Traditionally, the government has been the enemy of the people. The framers tried to give power to the people.

The sophisticated propaganda system pioneered by WR Herst and perfected by Rupert Murdoch has dulled the masses, leading them to believe things like our government has their best interests in mind.

other than this spying thing, i don't really have any problems with the government that i can think of right now...and i don't mean this administration (politically) but the goverment in general and how it affects my life as a citizen. obviously people will always disagree with political actions taken by a certain administration...

OT, but I just wanna say, nietz, that of all the people whose politics I disagree with on this board, you are by far the most enjoyable to argue with.

Thanks!

In all honesty, there are probably a lot of things I would agree with many non-ACers on, but discussions tend to get polarized rather quickly into 'AC vs everyone else' debates...

Woah, woah. I thought if the government (The People) is forcing rules upon people it's okay?
