Re: tp, nut flush draw, check/call
This obviously depends alot on his preflop range. If we assume that he will never fold immediately to your flop CR, then I ran the numbers on two possible ranges for him:
1) AT+, KJ+, A9s+, KTs+, QJs+, 77+ In this scenario we are ahead on the turn about 57% (with 63% all in equity). That makes the decision pretty close but I would probably play it like you did. 2) AJ+, KQ+, ATs+, KJs+, 88+ In this one, as you might imagine, the situation is more grim. We are ahead on the turn 43% (with 52% all in equity). That makes your line the only feasable option in my opinion. Cartman |

Re: tp, nut flush draw, check/call
I think it is fine against an overagro guy who might bet a PP all the way.
There arent really many worse hands that are going to call a turn and river bet so this is the way to play it. |

Re: tp, nut flush draw, check/call
your equity against his range is very high on the flop
however when he calls and you miss your flush on the turn + the Q pairing it is reduced and so are the number of losing hands he will call with |

[ QUOTE ]
your equity against his range is very high on the flop [/ QUOTE ] Doesn't mean we should raise. This flop is just atrocious for the majority of villian's hands that constitute our equity edge. I don't see him calling with many of his worse hands but he is definitely 3betting his better ones. But he may continue to bet his worse ones if given the opportunity. Am I missing something? |

Re: tp, nut flush draw, check/call
Raising the flop has plenty of benefits.
I'm not letting him take a freecard with a hand like KJ or a queen. If he has a bigger ace then you can set him up with the bet/3bet line on the turn if you hit your flush. Most people will wait for the turn with position to raise their big hands. and unless you want to become super predictable you have to CR these flops with an ace so you get more fold equity with your weaker hands |
