Purchasing a Laptop for College

1. I need a laptop for college

2. I want something top of the line that will be able to run games like counterstrike source with ease.

3. I am willing to spend no more than 2k.

4. Rule 3 is an exaggeration, if you know of a great deal over 2k, I hope you post anyways so i can entertain the idea.

Unless the OP is a grad student or plans on flying to and from college often or an extremely dedicated student who plans to spends hours upon hours in the library doing research, i'd agree.

alot of laptops get stolen at college, especially in rez, just something to think about

That being said, I have an LG, they make a pretty good product.

If I had to buy one today I'd look at Fujitsu

can we please please please just accept, and if you dont believe me then lets pretend, that i need a laptop?

i'm having such a hard time shopping for one because in desktops i think of a processor of at least 3.2 GHz being solid and 512MB of ram, and then i look at laptops that are like 2k and they have 2 GHz processors. The thing is, i heard there are differences somehow to where a 3.2 GHz of one kind is like a 2 GHz of another, like M processors or something. Is anyone here educated on this stuff?
