Default WPT Mirage Poker Showdown - Futures Bet

So, bodog has odds listed for this, and they have 68 people listed with obviously poor future odds. My question is how good of a play is the field at 5/4?

I’m not going to list all 68 listed people here, but just assume it’s the 68 highest profile players out there.

How many players would be expected here? Are some of the pros still sitting out WPT events in protest or did that get settled?

Forget the Mirage bets, what about the "gender of the WSOP winner"? male is a steal at -1500, should be more like -5000.

I agree, and they had one up there about American vs Non-American also where non-American was great value, but I think they took that one down.

The field bet at 5:4 is way too tempting, especially since
Chris Ferguson, Howard Lederer, Greg Raymer, Annie Duke, Phil Gordon, Paul Phillips, Robert Williamson III, Andy Bloch, and Joe Hachem are NOT expected to enter the Mirage WPT.

I would be more than surprised if Andy Black, Gus Hansen, Surinder Sunar, and Dave Ulliott were to enter, given that these 4 don't travel too often to the US anymore.

I do know that Marcel Luske is in Vegas and I do expect his to play.

Surinder + Devilfish are here .The odds maker must have been
smoking something to have Evelyn shorter than Jennifer.
I haven't seen Cyndy , Clonie or Annie .
The field should give you 400+ players v maybe 55 .
Take the 5/4.

Still in after day 1:

Ivey
Negreanu
Gavin Smith
Juanda
Grinder Mizrachi
Goehring
John Phan
Greenstein
David Williams (Chip Leader)
Arieh
Kenna James
Barry Shulman
Chip Jett
Liebert
Ted Forrest
Huck Seed
Jeff Shulman
Arnold Spee
Joe Cassidy

19 out of 195 players, or less than 10% of the field, remain from Bodog's list of "names". That leaves over 90% of the field for you "field" bettors who are getting 5:4.

I like those odds. I just wish bodog's max bet on it had been over $50.

Why would you want to risk 1500 to win 100?

It is a lousy bet. No enough reward for the risk.

LOL, I was with 2+2 poster Shaniac while he was on the phone with bodog, trying to bet $500 on the field. They wouldn't let him.

Now he's one of the chip leaders in the tourney...
