New DirecTV ad campaign
Recently I've seen a couple new commercials for DirecTV that have really bothered me. The first is with with Ben Stein, doing a scene similar to his "Buehler... Buehler..." scene from Ferris Buehler. The kids in the classroom tell him that Buehler is sick, and he says "No, he's probably at home watching DirecTV." The second is with Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt doing a scene from Twister while talking about how "DirecTV has all the best new movies!" and crap like that. Why does this company think that using decades old movies in their commercials is a good idea? I don't understand who's idea it was to do a scene from Twister (1996) where they say DirecTV has all the best new movies. Commercials have just been really pissing me off lately.

Re: New DirecTV ad campaign
I have a feature on my directivo I like to call bawka bawka bawka.
(that'd be the sound the tivo makes when I fastforward through commercials.) |
