'OK, ping me later this week to figure out weekend plans.' Who here uses ever uses the word ping in this context, meaning to contact or get in touch with? |

i've never heard anyone use it in this context and I have quite a few techie friends. the only thing I've ever "pinged" is an IP address.
well I guess i've "ping" ponged as well. |

I've never used it but at my old (techie) job, my managers used it all the time. None of us "underlings" did.
