Heads Up Tournament, side betting
I'm hosting our groups 3rd Heads Up Tournament, and this year there is talk of wagering on the field, like the NCAA tournament (but we have 16 players, not 65 teams). My first thought would be to fill out brackets, but that seems odd since we would all more than likely pick ourselves to win (otherwise why are you playing if you think you won't win?). Does anybody have any ideas on wagering on this event? I won our previous 2 HUT, and I'm running my mouth pretty hard this time. I think the partisipants are antsy to bet on me losing. How can we add more gambling to our gambling?

Last-longer bets between players can also work. |

Re: Heads Up Tournament, side betting
On each match just run a parimutual type pool. anyone not in the match can make there bet on either participant in $5 incremants. Each $1 buys them a unit. All the players who picked the winning player get their bet back, plus they divide up the losing bets based on the amount of units they have.
Keep in mind that players betting on there own matches could affect the play. |
