Totally overplayed AA, but what to do?
A flop where I feel that I will often be called down no matter how much I push on the flop, so I reraise. What I don't realize until he caps is that it can easily be a freecard cap. So I bet the turn, and the flop raise has suddenly cost me way too much...

Re: Totally overplayed AA, but what to do?
I was gonna write, that I think this is OK against a 15/30 unknown in a blind steal situation, but after thinking about, I think just check/calling turn and river is better.
If he has a queen he will bet it all the way, but will more likely also just call if you lead, so most of the time you're not getting more than one bet in on the big streets anyway. The free card play is not that common HU in these games, I think, and KT or T9 are the only hands likely to make this play. |
