Default Tough Spot With The Toppest Top 2.

Villain is solid from what I can see. I wouldn't call him a regular, but he multi-tables and comes around once in a while, but definitely not every day. Over 90k in tourney cashes and seems to know what he's doing in cash games as well. He's 22/12 over 260 hands.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $4 BB (8 handed)

MP1 ($156)
MP2 ($200)
CO ($116.20)
Button ($134.85)
Hero ($403)
BB ($290)
UTG ($400)
UTG+1 ($349.35)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. MP2 posts a blind of $4.
<font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $20</font>, <font color="#666666">5 folds</font>, Hero calls $18, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>.

Flop: ($48) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, UTG checks.

Turn: ($48) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $24</font>, <font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $80</font>, Hero calls $56.

River: ($208) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">UTG bets $210</font>, Hero ??

Can I play this any different? I don't know why I only bet $24 on turn. My normal bet there would be $36 or so.

i think this lets him play his range better...you can showdown your top 2 for the same amount + you will snap off some bluffs. He is probably going to bet with the same hands he calls with right? He is def not folding better hands.

if pfr wasn't UTG, I probably reraise but are you really implying that check calling turn is results oriented?

I am checking turn because villain will bet every hand he can possibly have there.

OOP against a solid UTG raiser, yeah. amoeba, I think he was asking if I always cold-call preflop here.

Why not reraise the turn? Do you put him on AA, KK, JJ, or QT here?

If you don't reraise the turn why not block this river? If you don't do either, you have to expect him to bet.
