Default Question about the english language

This is something I've actually been thinking for a few years (yes, I have no life).

Everyone knows what the word womanizer means.

The question is, why don't they call women who have many love affairs manizers?

IMHO, manizer is pretty darn good a word.

i thnk the term that most closely parallels that idea is gold digger.

i realize the two are not exactly same focus, but what men want from sex is more of it anytime anywhere, with almost anyone, but what women often want is security and sex is what gets it for them.

i think at least the two terms have about the same connotations...and your word manizer is more closely associated with an existing word, nymphomaniac.

this doesn't mean that there is not room for a new word...English is full of it!
