Taking a flaming Dr.Pepper while on fire?

So I was just at my local bar and ordered one of these. I was already pretty drunk and while the shot was lit asked the attractive bartender if I anyone had ever taken one of these straight "flaming". She said shes never seen it. I mean, it seems like if you gulped the shot quick enough it wouldnt do much to you. You really need to put it in the beer? For those that are unfamiliar with these, the following are the ingredients.

Flaming Dr. Pepper

6 ounces Beer
1 ounce Amaretto
1 dash 151 Proof Rum
Pour about 2/3 of a can of beer into a glass. Fill a shot glass almost full with Amaretto and use the back of a spoon to layer the Bacardi 151on top of the glass. Ignite and quickly drop the shot glass in the beer glass. Drink quickly.

The same concept applies for lighting and taking a shot of grain alcohol or SOCO (Southern Comfort) 100 proof and taking it. Once again, anyone ever done this? I was discussing this with my uncle, who was a big drinker back in the day, and he said him and his friends used to drink flaming shots of SOCO all the time without extinguishing them....However, he did tell me one funny story about one of his friends getting his mustache caught on fire while taking one once. I realize this isnt the best idea, but I want to try it. It would be so hard ass to do at a party. Anyone done this? [img]/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]

don't you have to drop the shot in the beer, then chug? if you take the shot before the beer (whether flaming or not) then it's not going to taste like it should. it'll just be a shot and a beer now. flaming dr. peppers are quite good though.

and why the [censored] would you take a shot while it's on fire?

Wow, that's impressive. There'd be a big difference between what this guy did, and taking a shot where you just set some 151 on top of ameretto. With the latter it will put itself out as soon as you start pooring it in your mouth. this guy clearly was using pure 151, soco, or the more likly everclear.

Obviously there are a lot of wet, fat, hairy, slimy, smelly, vinegar tasting, flat out pussys on this forum. I was just wondering if anyone has ever done this before. The idiot in the video posted poured the shot in his mouth and managed to spill it. I plan on doing neither, wusses.
