Golf Prop Bet: Loser or No Action
Hello,
I put some money (Vegas, not online) on Kenny Perry to win the Masters. He withdrew with an injury. Losing ticket or no action? Thanks, KennyBanya |

Did he start? If not, then it's no action.

He did not start. He withdrew a few weeks prior to the tournament.

Re: Golf Prop Bet: Loser or No Action
Most books: all bets are action
Very few books: refund on non-starters Final answer: ask the supervisor at the book where you bet. Better yet, find their rules. EDIT: I should be more clear. In a bet such as a golf matchup, the golfer must tee off for action. But this is a futures bet, to win a championship. If you bet the Royals to win the World Series, you don't get a refund if the World Series is played without them. They probably had 100 horses listed in their Kentucky Derby future book. You may rest assured that they didn't refund any of them. Golf futures are a little different. Just about all of the golfers listed in the future book were expected to play when the odds were listed. Some books will give refunds to non-starters ("Must tee off for action"). Most won't, to remain consistant with the other future books ("All bets are action"). |
