Your Gross Loss (Or Profit) in BJ - Lifetime
Also post the hand where you had the most $$$ riding. I'm talking about BJ live and online not just Party Poker.
Loss: -4kish before bonuses and such. Hand: $50 on two spots. Split 3 times and double down a few for $450 total. Ended up $50 I think. |

Re: Your Gross Loss (Or Profit) in BJ - Lifetime
I had managed to grind my bankroll up to 4500 dollars from 1000 playing 3/6 live this year, then I went to Reno for the Hilton poker challenge. I got there and made the money in a SnG. After, I went and met my friend at the PaiGow table. I sat down and started knocking back free drinks and getting trashed. Eventually ended up at blackjack. I then lost 2400 in 4 hours. I just didn't feel like playing poker after that. I spent the next 3 days in the pit trying to get even. I ended up losing another 2500, and didn't even play any sattelites or enter any tournaments. Blackjack is the devil's game.

I got 10 free Euro's on Poker Club Europe last week and yesterday I decided to run that 10E up to like 1000E playing blackjack. I'm up to 40 using the doubling system. Dealer hit BJ BJ 21 BJ BJ 20 so I'm getting my ass kicked...I get this hand on a 16 dollar bet. player: 88 Dealer:7 I figure heres my chance, split my 8's 18 and 18. Dealer 74T BUUUUSSSTTTOOOOOOO

Re: Your Gross Loss (Or Profit) in BJ - Lifetime
+50k....
I played ~ 2000 hours casino BJ over a couple years, mostly at Turning Stone. I got backed off in March of '99 and they opened up the poker room a couple months later. I then dropped about 15k before I picked up a 2p2 book. You think poker is a grind? I never want to see another hand of BJ again for the rest of my life, sober at least. Best, zooey |

Re: Your Gross Loss (Or Profit) in BJ - Lifetime
Win/Loss- I've played so much that I have no idea. If I had to venture a guess, I'd say I'm about even.
Most money won/lost in a hand (although I'm sure I've won this much as well but just don't remember it): $30,000- I distinctly remember splitting 9's against a 5 after I had placed a $6,000 wager. I re-split after receiving a third 9, doubled down after receiving a 2, and doubled down on my third hand after receiving another 2. After making all of my hits, splits, and doubles, I had $30,000 riding on three hands of 20, 19, and 19. The dealer turned over her hold card which was a six for eleven, then drew an ace from the shoe for twelve, and then a nine of all cards for twenty-one. |
