Getting Shots (Needles)

I'm a total girl when it comes to getting needles, but I'm gonna have to get a bunch soon. Help?

Go get a tattoo. I have 5 that equal about 6 hours worth of needles. I hated shots before that, but now I could give a damn.

There are two approaches, both of which work for me. You can try to look away, focus on something else (sometimes it's over before you even know what happened), or otherwise you can just decide you're going to be a badass and watch the needle go in and take the pain. Someone suggested this to me and I was surprised at how well it works.

I'm not a fan of needles, but I can take them. I can't handle having blood drawn though. Something about the thought of having blood sucked out of my body....ugh.

I used to hate shots too. When I was like 10 my local newspaper ran a story about immunizations and they used a picture of me getting one, because I had the most girly painful looking face you could ever imagine. Now I can give myself an IV. Just go get your shots, if you get enough you'll get used to it and eventually stop caring.

Unless you are getting rabies shots. Then you are [censored]. Those are painful. The needle goes right into your stomach.
