Default What to play online?

I've been playing online poker for about a year now and I still can't find what is most profitable. I have friends who play a lot of online poker too but it seems anytime we make a decent amount of money it all goes back because of terrible calls by opponents and terrible beats. I had a string of hands within two days where I dominated my oponent and they would catch miracle cards. I mostly played ring games and raised with all the good hands and limped with decent hands. I just don't know how some people are so profitable with all the beats of online poker. Are higher stakes the answer? In those rings games i ranged from 1/2 up to 3/6.

You should probably find some books about poker and read them.

thats not it.. ive made so many right moves and i just get beat by worse hands... i am very profitable in live games but online it seems like it cant happen... it might be due to the fact i raise 5$ with 9's and some guy calls with 10-2... ive read both harringtons, hellmuth and warren.

Ahh, my bad. You should move up so people will respect your raises.

Best of luck.

Play at stakes as high as you possibly can, that way you can make money because you wont be playing against such horrible players.

ive read hellmuth.

I'd suggest rereading hellmuth's book a couple times. It's pretty much the bible for high stakes poker players.

God dammit. It's people like you that keep informing people of this that is making the games so god damned tough. [censored] off.

If I remember right I thought I was good at poker after I read the first few books too. In hindsight though I was mistaken.
