LIMCASH - Preflop play
The below questions come from me having problems in understanding some of the theory when playing. I'm averaging 5BB/100 at 0,5/1 but pays 5BB/100 in rake, so no real money in it, but gotta learn to play before going a level up.
The answers might not be the only options, so please explain if its not one of the options I have given. Also please explain the reason for playing the way you think is best. ___________________________ Q1: What is the best way to play out of the SB. 1. Always raise. 2. Raise the the x % best and x % worst hands, call the rest. 3. Fold the worst x % of hands raise the rest. 4. Other (please explain). _________________________________ Q2: What is the best way to play out of the BB when the SB calls? 1. Raise the best x % of hands. 2. Raise the best x % and worst x% of hands, call the rest. 3. Call the worst x % and raise the 100 minus x % of the hands. 4. Other (please explain). ___________________________________ Q3: What is the best way to play out of the BB when the SB raises? 1. Always call or reraise? 2. Fold the worst X % of your hands, call or raise dependent on strenght? 3. Other (please explain). ____________________ Q4: What is the best way to play out of the SB when you call and BB raises? 1. Like the answer above in Q3. 2. Other (please explain). |

Re: LIMCASH - Preflop play
Q1: 4. opponent dependent. raise more often against folders, and less often against callers/reraisers.
Q2: 4. opponent dependent. raise more often against loose SB players and less often against tight SB players. I actually don't like raising much from the BB. Q3: 3. opponent dependent. although never reraising is not a horrible strategy. Q4: 2. depends on how loose you have been calling with out of the SB and how often the BB is raising. As you can see the answer is always opponent dependent. |

Re: LIMCASH - Preflop play
I know there are very successful heads up pros that raise 100% from the sb (sites where its the button), and call 100% of the time from the BB(never re-raising or folding). I doubt that is optimal, but its somthing to think about.
