Default Wie Already Over Par

First glance at the leaderboard shows she is 3 over after 5. Scores aren't that low tho, but that isn't good. This is her home course, the private course she got to play a lot and still somehow was allowed in the publinx. Not a good sign for her. We'll see though. Maybe she has learned how to drop in the last few months as well.

Now that the Sony has been relegated to non network coverage after this year, we might get to see how many times Michelle gets to miss the cut or look totally outclassed and still get a sponsor's exemption.

She's +8 through 10. What a joke.

Time to stop playing men's events until you dominate the ladis like Annika, Michelle.

Default +8 after 10

Yikes.

On a positive note, she's two up on John Cook, winner of the 1909 Canadian Open.

Some good scores getting posted. Enough to make +8 after 11 look even worse for a pro who purports beating Tiger is a goal. lotta golf left though.

I'd make an exception for this one event. This is her home course, she knows it well, the locals love her, and people come out just to watch her play. It's not like she's playing 12 events on the men's tour every year. Let the sponsors do what they want with their exemption.

But yes, I also agree that she should be concentrating on beating the ladies before entering more men's events.

Default Re: Saw The Highlights

She was awful. She played some bunker to bunker green hockey. She wasn't scaring the hole on some 5' putts. Pros make a lower percentage of these than some think, but she wasn't coming close. She badly missed a very short putt. Seemed to be in a lot of bunkers. It was bad.

I am not a pro. TV is deceptive. But it looked like her alignment and stroke on putts was bad. Seemed like she was aimed right and pulled everything. This seemed to result in her missing on both sides of the hole. Could be TV angle, etc....

She is not good enough to play on the PGA Tour. Not close. I have been saying it, although somewhat gently because she was a 15 year old amateur. Well, she took the cash and is a pro now. She has no business on the tour. She needs to go win on the LPGA Tour. The way things are looking right now, I think she may do less of that than people expect, although she will win out there in all probablility. But the other young players must hate her and expectations are high, so I am sure she'll have fun.

Dreadful round today. You would hope things can only get better. She really looked bad.
