Default ConJelCo and Ed\'s DVDs -- A Problem

I received -- rather picked up from the Post Office -- Ed's DVDs yesterday. Conjelco required me to pay 1.74 for postage so the mailman wouldn't drop off the package at my door. I guess it's a little nitty to complain about 1.74, but I emailed them with a scan of the charges 2 days ago and they have yet to respond.

I could see this being a problem if you work during the day and have trouble getting to the PO. Anyone have a similiar problem?

Hi Don:

I think you need to contact ConJelCo directly. Our experience is that they are very good in customer relations and try to make things right.

I do suspect that your product was sent media mail probably by your own choosing, and if you are not there for delivery when the postman comes by you then have to go to the post office to pick it up.

Best wishes,
Mason

Hi wmspringer:

If for some reason they can't deliver you'll need to go to the post office.

Best wishes,
Mason

That's true. I used to live in an apartment and when anything came that couldn't fit into my mailbox they would not leave it by my door. I had to go pick it up.

UPS left stuff all of the time, ironically.

This is a Post Office policy -I don't think Conjelco has any control over that.

Mason,

They did not include enough (or pay at all) postage for the shipping. Here is the scan from the post office drop off.

Here is the email I sent ConJelCo on May 3rd (with the picture attached). They have not responded.

you did not include enough postage when mailing me this item (see attached scan)

please send $1.74 plus neteller fees to XXXXX
or a check to my address (seen in the orginal confirmation below).

Should I feel bad if I think this is absurd?

It almost seems like this is a really dry joke.

update, from ConJelCo (if anyone cares)

email:

Please accept my apologies for the delay in answering. Neteller won't handle anything less than $25.00, so I am looking into how we will handle it. I'll get back to you as soon as I hear from the shipper.

Sincerely,

Kay Francis

You shouldn't feel bad. Jesus [censored] Christ, it's <$2. Oh, I know, it's the principle, right?

Nit (directed at OP).
