Default Pacifc trout game hand history

Yesterday, hyde made a post trying to drum up interest for the weekly forum games (and find someone else to run them). I agreed to play, and accidentally won.

I'm not about to volunteer to run this thing, or even show up every week. However, I do want to support the game, so I figured I'd post my hand history. Maybe this will start a trend and generate more interest in the games.

Go here for the hand history.

If this generates zero response, maybe I'll put out individual hands, like Slacker did.

Thanks, always fine to have a look on how the good players are playing.

This one is interesting. I never complete preflop with AQ from the sb in an unopened pot and I never check this flop in a situation like this.

Do you have any comments Phil? Im interested in your reasoning for the way you played this.

I was curious about what hands you were minraising. They were, by and large, somewhat better than I would have guessed - KQ, A7, etc. What's your rationale there? In these games I'll occasionally minraise with garbage, and occasionally with big hands, but rarely with the middling stuff.

I was obviously mixing up my play more in this tournament than against normal players. That being said, I will often complete the SB with 2 big cards like this.

If I raise, a thinking opponent will put me on 2 big cards. I'll get no action if I hit my hand. And if I miss, well then I missed and have nothing.

Playing it this way, I'd expect to get paid off because nobody is going to put me on this hand.

As for the flop, I probably could've bet, but this is good flop for the BB to bluff at. She won't put me on an Ace, so she'll probably take a shot at it with anything.

I checked the turn hoping she had something and would keep betting. I probably should've just bet.

Yeah, it just kind of worked out that way. At least for the KQ, I'd pretty much decided before the hand that I was looking to mix in some min-raises.

Also, the stacks were a bit deeper than a typical sng, so I thought people might call rather than reraise. If they call, then I flop top pair with KQ, I know its good because AK/AQ would've reraised me.

With the A6/A7, hyde was in the blinds with a short stack for both I think, so I figured I'd let him try to reraise. If he had A8+, he was putting his stack in no matter what I raised, so I figured I'd raise small and maybe he'll try with Kx or something.

Thanks for posting Phil. Would be fun to paste my hole cards into your HH, but I'm too lazy to do that.

It wasn't until I read through the HH that I realized Jek had asked me to post the results. So, I'll do it here...

1. gkramerica (%50 - $60.00)
2. SlackaMcFly (%30 - $36.00)
3. IMTheWalrus (%20 - $24.00)
4. dr. jekyl
5. DrBallgame42
6. gosox83
7. MikeMcQ1
8. cha59
9. SeaSiren.xo
10. JohnnyBgood4
11. realjobu
12. macattack4

The chat was pretty good too. I'd be curious to hear from Blue, Cha or Sea and see what they were saying to the poor dude they were railing in the other tourney
