Bad push on a paired board?

I figured villain to have trip 8s or a lower flush, and figured either way I'd get paid off. I know my preflop raise was wierd but I had just played on party poker for the first time and months and haven't gotten used to their bet slider yet.

Did I play this hand well?

I think your raise preflop is just bloating the pot, and i don't like bloated pots out of position with a weak ace.

I think close to a PSB on the flop is good, and depending on stack sizes a very large bet on the turn. As played if you are AI on the turn great. A c/r all-in on the turn might be good too, especially if you are confident he'll bet that turn.

Anyone have any ideas if we are deep stacked with that river? Anyone like a blocking bet that keeps the 4 from reraising us, and the lower flush calling us. I'd be inclined to bet 1/2 to 2/3 the pot and fold to a raise.

pf is fine with ATs. Just complete usually with ATo. pot flop. All-in on the turn is fine.

Forgot to mention I c-raised all in on the turn and was insta-called.

I thought I played it right. Keep in mind also it was a 6 handed table and an ATs raise in my book even from early position is usually ok. I usually bet a nut draw on the flop to build the pot some, it also disguises your draw because low limit players almost always check a draw and only bet when they get there. This way when the 3rd spade hits he might think I'm only on a high pair.

He had trip 8s and filled up on the river. I'd play it again like that every time I believe.

i'm generally wary of chasing anything but full houses on paired boards, but given that you were the aggressor, it's OK.

he could easily be on a flush draw as well, or as you found out a lone 8.

raising A10s in the SB is fine. don't do it habitually. wait, it looks like you minraised. that is terrible. raise FOR REAL. this is just the sort of hand people put you on when you minraise: small PPs, suited medium aces, etc.

uggh, minraising in general is the suck but minraising in the SB preflop??!?!??!!! ask yourself what was the point of that...

Ouch. My eyes! Maybe I'm just used to the 2 plus 2 form. He filled up on the river. So what! you got your money in as a 4:1 favorite so what is the problem? Don't be results oriented. I would also get it in on the turn here.

I agree min raising OOP (or in general is awful). I didn't even pay much attention to anything but the turn because i hate that layout.

I know my min raise was awful. Like I said in the original post, I hadn't played Party poker in a while and wasn't used to the slider thing and clicked too fast. I don't like their new slider thingy.

You might be better off typing in your bets then to avoid costly mistakes.
