Default 1/2: 109s straight flush draw

My only read is MP2 who is your typical calling station. Comments on all rounds welcome. Pre-flop, flop and river is standard. The biggest question I have is whether I should have 3-bet the turn or just call like I did.

Just call. I don't feel like calculating your equity here, but it is not enough the raise. It could fold worser hands + with this action you could be looking at a full house already.

I think the river play is more interresting. Can you raise this for value?

I thought about it, but like you said BB might have boated on the turn.

If BB has the full house, why are you raising here?

Definitely don't 3-bet the turn! Not only are you less than 2-to-1 to hit your flush/gutter, given the action there's definitely a substantial chance that BB's got 33 or Q8 and you're drawing to one out.

Like you said, flop and river are fine.

PS - nice avatar. I still have difficulty with the fact that there will never be another Bungle album.

If I had to guess, I'd say that BB had something like Q8/83/33 for the BB special, and filled up on the turn (based on his checkraise).

I'm not sure if I would have played this differently, James.

I'd try make a note about what MP3 was playing in this case since you might be in a position to overcall him in the future. It's strange that he would lead into 2 opponents that ping-ponged him to a capped flop on the turn. If he had a flush draw, he was being too aggressive with it. If he had something like a naked 8 (A8 for example) he probably should have folded when it was 2 bets back to him (right?).

You actually have a flushdraw + a gutshot -- to split hairs. You have likely 12 outs (where a true SF draw has 15) -- probably about ~45 pot equity to ramming and jamming the flop is good.

I like the turn. No need to raise and get a free SD since yr hand is not made.

The river is the toughest question. When you said "MP2 who is your typical calling station" did you mean MP3? If so, he played the flop like 2 pair or a set, and that filled up on the turn (another reason not raise the turn, as you COULD be drawing to only one out). So this will rub some people the wrong way, but just call the river.

Overall: nice hand.

I'd be surprised if MP3 didn't have a set. He woke up on the turn and then slowed down when the 3rd hrt showed up.

I suspect BB has the boat I don't think I am raising the turn, but I am definately calling the river. I would not try to raise this river.

I'm assuming when you say "set" for MP3, you mean trip 8's, correct (obviously if he had a set, he would have a boat now)? If so, then yeah, it's pretty apparent from MP3's turn donk that he's got an 8 (unless he's really dumb enough to bluff here), and yet you have BB raising anyway. ugh. I'm playing it the same way but I'm not really expecting my flush to be good on the river here.

I stand corrected............trips.

I don't think our flush is good either.
