Default Help me choose a new mobile phone

Right now I have a Samsung sch-a670 that I love, but it has a cracked face and volume is broken. Unfortunately, Verizon doesn't sell it anymore so I can't get a new one. I can, however, get a new phone all together.

I'm torn between 3, including the RAZR.

1. Motorola E815

2. LG VX8100

3. RAZR V3c

- E815 beats them all in standby time and talk time, but the measurements are not all that relevant because I charge my phone nightly anyway (and would never spend so many minutes on the phone over the course of 1-2 days anyway). Plus my current phone has worse battery life than all 4 of those and it's no problem for me.

- RAZR is very thin and very light. Other phones are comparable in size to my current phone... which makes a huge unsightly bulge in my left pants pocket when I wear slacks, but then again everybody has the same problem. Would be nice to not have to worry about that with the flat RAZR.

- OOT said in another thread RAZR is so last year/played out/etc. I normally don't care what other people think, but man, this is OOT we're talking about. We have to make an exception.

- The VX8100 has VCast music... which I wouldn't use most likely... but it's there.

- The RAZR does NOT have a 2.5mm jack for a headset, which means I'd have to get a bluetooth headset and look like a Borg drone when I use it, however, I only use a headset at home or in the car, so no biggie. I was going to get a BT headset anyway.

- Price is irrelevant because I would be getting any of the 3 for free.

- I'm leaning towards the E815 or RAZR, but threw in the 8100 because a friend recommended it.

- I txt a lot and often do so while driving, so the keypad layout must be one such that I would NOT have to look at the keypad to send my msg. I can send txts with my current phone without having to look at the keypad. I'm not sure if the layout of the RAZR would make that possible for me.

Cliff's: I'm a Verizon customer who wants a new phone, but can't decide. Help OOT!

I decided on a RAZR (thx for nothing OOT). I don't know why people badmouth this phone... it's great.

I guess I will learn more in the next 15 days of my Verizon worry free guarantee exchange period.

I just got the The 8100 and it is simply awesome if you want to "hack" it a little bit and add your own ringers and mp3 files.

The Razr is really played out in my opinion, and not as functional or practical as the 8100.

Edit: I see you got the Razr, hope you like it, I know I can't stand it. LG just makes better phones (and software) in my opinion.

I should have looked at this thread before I bought my phone, since I am in the same position as the OP. I went with the razr too.

Warik,

Switch to Cingular so you can get a sweet SLVR instead of the played out RAZR.

I didn't get it to look cool. I got it because it's a good phone.

I mean... does anybody have anything negative to say about this phone other than "omg it's played out."

actually... do any of you really use the expression "played out" in real life?
