What should be two simple overpair hands (200NL 6max)
These should be simple hands, I'm just really bad, especially with one pair hands.
Hand 1 Villian is 44/5/4.6 Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) BB ($84) UTG ($187.10) MP ($177.66) CO ($179.20) Button ($60.91) Hero ($198) Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $1. UTG calls $2, MP calls $2, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Button calls $2, <font color="#CC3333">Hero (poster) raises to $11</font>, BB calls $10, UTG calls $10, MP folds, Button calls $10. Flop: ($50) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font> <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $40</font>, BB folds, <font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $100</font>, Button folds, Hero calls $146 (All-In), UTG calls $75.10 (All-In). I feel like folding is giving up to much value vs an aggresive postflop player (which he is according to his numbers, but haven't observed anything, so that isn't a great read at all) Hand 2 Villian is 42/11/.75 Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) UTG ($222.92) MP ($40) Button ($167.70) Hero ($187) BB ($83.90) Preflop: Hero is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. MP posts a blind of $2. Hero posts a blind of $1. UTG calls $2, MP (poster) checks, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises to $4</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero (poster) raises to $14</font>, BB calls $13, UTG folds, MP folds, Button calls $11. Flop: ($49) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font> <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $40</font>, BB folds, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises to $80</font>, Hero calls $132 (All-In), Button calls $72.70 (All-In). I think I should have folded this one to the min raise, because I'm really only beating 99-TT, and flipping with combo draws. Thanks for all the help -starvs |

Re: What should be two simple overpair hands (200NL 6max)
hand 1: Raise more PF to like 14-16, postflop is standard especially with his stats
hand 2: Raise PF to at least 20, with his passiveness it looks like a fold you don't really beat anything. Knowing what his PF minraises mean would be nice. |

Re: What should be two simple overpair hands (200NL 6max)
i think hand 1 is played perfectally
hand 2 definatly raise more preflop. mostly because of limpers and you being OOP post flop with a hand thats very vunerable multiway. as far as what to od ont he flop..i'm clueless. i so suck at reading flop miniraises. |

Re: What should be two simple overpair hands (200NL 6max)
hand 1 is atrocious. the pf raise is a bit small, esp when in early position. i like the flop bet, easy fold when you are raised however. too many players in the pot. you've made your hand strength known to everyone by raising in early pos pf then leading big on the flop so anyone who raises wants you to move in with yer overpair. villain has a set or some small suited connector 2 pair.
hand 2 i dont hate as much but i still dont like it. if your table image is really LAG this is ok, but if everyone sees you as a tighty fold it. his range is prolly a pp of 88 or less, so he could very well have it, but if he thinks yer just going crazy, he might do this with a lesser overpair |
