Re: Do you think this chat is inappropriate?
no, getting upset over this is beyond nitty.
when playing live the dealer has an obligation to explain the rules of the game at any point in the game if asked. internet shouldn't be any different. you should be free to talk about the rules of the game at any point. no strategy was discussed. |

Re: Do you think this chat is inappropriate?
I don't play 2-7, but similar situations happen from time to time in Omaha when it's clear someone doesn't understand that they have to use exactly 2 hole cards to make their hand. I won't offer unsolicited advice, but if they ask why their naked Ace doesn't make a flush on a 4-flush board, I don't think it's inappropriate to explain why.
It's not like they're suddenly going to start beating you just because they understand the rules a little bit better, and it will probably keep them at the table longer. |

Re: Do you think this chat is inappropriate?
if the worst thing that happened to you today is that a newbie playing $50 triple draw 2-7 pot limit got a rules question answered, it is not a bad day.
complaining about a rules question being answered correctly is the worst thing out of this situation. |
