i had some of the good kind over the weekend. it was 2 hours of amazing, 30 minutes of 'dear god i'm dying/wish i was dead' and then 1.5 hours of talking with buddies saying, 'did that actually happen' and 'do you remember when...?' granted we took over an 1/8 each so....

I never did it, but my GF's brother tried to with no success. The bags are pretty useless, IMO.

Keep us up to date. I designed a couple of my own "mycodomes" with a similar design a few years ago. I'd be interested in how this works.

My best success was innoculating jars of organic popcorn and seeding horse poo in a flat plastic container. Good yields and simpler than using the cakes.

I made an attempt at growing illegal mushrooms. I had a lot of contam problems and ended up loosing 7/8 jars. I yeilded enough to recoup my investment, but not much profit.

I should start doing it again now that I think of it. The market for the illegals is just ridiculous, everyone wants them.

5 of my 6 jars have now shown growth!! I am so proud of my children. In a few days, it should be time to remove them from the jars and move on to dunking.
