So people really tip 67%? Anyone else think these tipping guidelines sound crazy high?

I will admit though that I hate the whole idea of tipping generally. I wish they would pay the dealers a reasonable amount that they would earn the amount they should without the players feeling like they need to tip them, and the same thing with servers in restaurants, etc. I always tip when I go to a sit down restaurant because I know it is expected, but I think the whole system is messed up, and I dislike it, which is part of the reason I don't go out to eat much. If they would just pay the servers more, and raise the prices to whatever level was necessary to do that, I would patronize the businesses more often.

Go eat at a few restaurants in Europe where tipping is not expected and i'm sure you'll begin to appreciate our service based system.

Diablo,

Considering the pigslop and terrible service, 3 bucks is generous there.

I'm also not nearly as balla as you, bro.

Cheapskate? Who are you to judge how much someone else is tipping. If you look at the prices on the menu, $3 is more then fair for a meal. They handle several orders at once, so if everyone gave them $3 for their order they would be doing just fine.

Besides for people that play poker for profit, especially ones that play for a living, things like this matter in the long run.

Not to mention the fact that Commerce has the most brutal rake of any casino I've ever been to.

Sucker: Quite being a cheapskate. Nobody is making you order that garbage.

Jerry: It's OK if you're a cheapskate, no need to get so defensive!

I'm with Sucker although if the server has to make more than one trip then it's $5. But I'm easy to serve; the type not to send back my order or do without if it's only slightly wrong. I realize their busy.

PS One difference from Sucker. I tend to tip the bad looking equal and sometimes more just to make up for the others. The good looking already have enough advantages in life.
